Mooncake Celebration ♡

 Happy Mid-Autumn/Mooncake Festival!(‐^▽^‐)

So yesterday, in celebration of Chinese Mooncake festival, my AXA Team Go & I had a sumptous dinner & a very fun dice game at our office in Binondo (If in case you didnt know, I also work as part-time Financial Advisor in Axa Philippines) and I think 3/4 of my team are either true blooded Chinese (Philippine-born or already a citizen here) or has a chinese descent that is why we do celebrate Chinese traditions like Chinese New Year, Mooncake festival and etc in the office. And in fact, it was actually my first time to experience such event and its really a great feeling learning other's tradition. (^_^)

And for the benefit of some of my dear readers (if there's any) who are not familiar with this yet.. here is the brief definition of Mooncake Festival that I got from google. **laughs**

Mooncake or Moon Festival is a popular lunar harvest festival celebrated by the Chinese & other Asian communities all over the world. It falls on the 15th of the 8th month of the lunar calendar and it is one of the most important traditional events for the Chinese and even Vietnamese, just like Christmas and Thanksgiving for Westerners. In Korea, it is called Hangawi or Chuseok; in Vietnam Trung Thursday ; in Hong Kong Chung Ch'iu ; and in Taiwan Tiong-chhiu Choeh .

Adee's first throw. Bingo!

The Mooncake dice game consists of 6 dice, a big ceramic bowl, lots of prizes & a lucky hand. Each players are given a chance to throw the dice, carefully not  to be disqualified by getting the dice out of the bowl. The objective is to at-least get a red 4 dots to win a prize. The prize gets better the more 4's you get. You can also win by having 1-2-3-4-5-6  pattern, or getting 5 of the number, or by having two sets of three same number. You're a candidate for the grand prize if you get four 4's, or having all the dice as the same number. As simple as that. ;)

The Prizes.. To bad I only got 4 items!

With Welj and Fam! ;)

For the yummy part, we had a Yangchao Rice, Signature Noodle, Kopi Spareribs, Pastel Chicken, Sotanghon & Cassava Cake and home-made Orange Leche Flan for dessert by the birthday boy, Kuya Dennis!

My other team's kids!! Awww they're so cute!

My turn ;)

And the lucky guy who won the first prize, Adee! Congrats! ;)

And ofcourse, a group pic. ;)

I hope everyone had a fantastic & relaxed weekend!
 Time for work again tomorrow!~~

Again, Happy Mooncake Festival! ^^,

Always,

My nephew's 1st hair-cut!!

This week flies pretty quickly, right? I can't believe that It's Saturday again..
Or was it just only me? hehehe~~

And so it has been a week since my nephew's 1st birthday party and yesterday, my sister & his grandma took him to his first ever hair-cut at Cuts for Tots Kiddie Salon in Mall of Asia.

Awww.. I wish I was there to witness this tremendous event!!

And now our baby looks like a real boy now!! (^_^)

A haircut in Cuts for Tots costs Php 400.00. A little bit pricey but worth it considering how careful they'll cut your child's hair. The package also include a certificate and a before & after documentation picture of his first hair-cut!

Till next time my Lovelies!

Geez, I badly need a whole body massage.

Xian's 1st "Yeehaw" Party ♡

A year ago today, I became a first time aunt. (^_^)

I feel like it was only yesterday when I first held & carried my nephew in the hospital when he was born. He was such a cute, bouncy baby. And because my sister delivered him in a C-section, my mom & I would go shifting to change his diaper & feed him every 2 hours. My mom was the one who look after him in the morning till the afternoon then my shift starts at the afternoon till the rest of the evening. And now, our little darling just turned 1 today. I can't believe how fast time has flown!!!

It's amazing watching him develop & grow into a little person. And in fact, he's getting mischievous now. ;) He'll take his pillow, bottle or toy then he'll look at you & throw it violently on the floor. hehehe~~ my mom said he got that exact naughty trait from me when I was still a baby.

And because I'm an excited aunt.. I immediately uploaded some of his birthday pictures today right after the party. Xian celebrated his 1st "Toy Story/Cowboy" themed party at Mcdonalds New Molino in Bacoor.

Personalized cake by TJ's Bake Shop

Mcdo offers variety of themed parties such as Ronald Mcdonalds & the Gang, Disney Princess, Hannah Montana, Ben10, Toy story and etc. My sister picked the Toy story as I suggested her that since Woody is a cowboy pull-string doll, why not pull a cowboy themed as well by requesting the guests to come in their best cowboy outfits..

Ehheeemmmmm..
Well, since this was all my brilliant idea.. I thought I'd share you my outfit today. *evil laugh*

Blue & red checkered shirt from freeway, my old blue pants, boots from **guess what** -- Ukay-ukay and finished off with an easy & messy braided hair that my bestfriend, May Ann, did. ;)

So here's my cousin who won the best cowboy outfit in the male category. With his best effort, no doubt he won!
With the family ;)

Me, my sister & Xian ;)

As always, me and my girls were goofing around again and Faye's acting like she's Anne Curtis. ;)

Behind the scene. LOL. May's doin' my braids.

My mom, Ate Ycai & Xian

and Calix. ^^

That's all for now ;) Again, Happy Birthday Xian.
May you grow up to be a well-rounded & God-fearing man just like Tita. ;) ;) ;)

Goodnight loves

xxxx
